Set up synchronisation

Choose the information you want to share between your Nokia device and your computer.

The first time you synchronise a device using Ovi Suite you’ll need to enter some basic settings. These settings only need to be entered once for each device, and you can change them later if you need to.

  1. Connect the device you want to back up to your computerwith a USB cable. You can use a Bluetooth connection instead but it will be much slower.
  2. Your device may ask you how you want to connect. Select PC Suite and then select OK.
  3. The options for synchronisation will appear automatically when you first connect your device to your computer using a cable or Bluetooth.

Select the types of information you want to synchronise for the device you’ve connected. To synchronise contacts, photos, messages or music automatically whenever you connect your device, select Sync automatically every time you connect this device.

You can change these settings later by selecting Tools > Options > Device sync.
