Manage and transfer files with the device browser

In order to view the Flash content, you need to have Macromedia Flash Player installed on your computer.
You can download the latest Flash Player for free from Macromedia‘s website.

  1. Connect your Nokia device to your Mac. If you need assistance, please see the section connect to your Mac.

  2. Open Nokia Multimedia Transfer.

  3. Click on the Nokia Multimedia Transfer icon in the menu bar and go to Tools and Settings > Open Nokia Device Browser...

  4. On the left hand side of the device browser window, find your Nokia device. Click on the arrow next to your Nokia device to open the memory folders. Files may be stored in the phone memory or on a memory card. Click on the arrows to reveal folders inside your phone memory or on the memory card.

  5. Select a folder you wish to transfer files to or from.

  6. You can transfer files between your Nokia device and Mac by dragging them to and from the folders in the device browser. The progress of the transfer will be shown at the bottom of the device browser window.

    Alternatively, you may export files from your Nokia device to your Mac by going to File > Export. In the dialog that appears, browse to the desired file you would like to transfer from your Nokia device. Check the box next to the file(s) and click OK. Choose the location where you wish the files to be exported to, and click Export

  7. To remove files from your Nokia device, select the file(s) and go to File > Remove from Device. A dialog will ask you to confirm the deletion. Click on Delete Items to remove the file(s).
