
The easiest way to lock and unlock the keypad is to use the lock switch on the right side of the device. Or you can unlock and lock the keys by opening or closing the two-way slide.
Features that use Bluetooth or wireless LAN (WLAN) technology, or users allowing such features to run in the background while they use other features, increase the demand on battery power. To save battery, turn off breathing, the naviwheel touch and sensor, Bluetooth and WLAN technology when you do not need them.
You can protect a memory card with a password to prevent unauthorized access. To set a password, select Menu > Tools > File mgr., open the memory card folder and select Options > Memory card password. The password can be up to eight characters long and is case-sensitive. The password is stored on your device. You do not need to enter it again when you are using the memory card in the same device. If you use the memory card with another device, you are asked for the password.
To switch the active standby on or off, press the Menu key, and select Tools > Settings > General > Personalisation > Standby mode > Active standby. The active standby display shows application shortcuts, and events from applications such as calendar and player.
To check whether there are applications running in the background, press and hold the Menu key. To close the applications you do not wish to use, scroll to an application in the list, and press C. Leaving applications running in the background increases the demand for battery power.
