Get the best reception

The GPS receiver is located in the top of the device. When using the receiver, from an upright position, move the device to an angle of about 45 degrees, with an unobstructed view of the sky.

Get maps over WLAN

You can also download maps by using a wireless LAN connection or through the internet using Nokia Map Loader PC software.

Position requests

A network service may request your position information to offer information about local topics, such as weather or traffic conditions. Select Accept to allow your position information to be sent or Reject to deny the request.

New features for Maps

You can expand the Maps application by purchasing a navigation upgrade or different city or travel guides. To purchase these modules, go to Options > Extra services and select Add navigation or Guides.

How much did I run?

To use your device as an odometer, select Menu > Tools > Connectivity > GPS data > Trip distance. Select Options > Start to activate trip distance calculation, and Stop to deactivate it.
