Purchasing a licence

You can purchase a navigation licence directly from your Nokia device with three different payment methods: credit card, adding it to your phone bill or by purchasing a Content Card. Payment methods may vary according to your region.

Licence transfer

After purchasing a navigation licence, you can choose to tie your licence to either to your SIM card or to your Nokia device.

If you wish to use your navigation on several devices, tie your licence to your SIM card. Switching your SIM card to a new device then activates your licence on that device.

If you have several SIM cards but only one phone, opt for a transfer model where your licence is tied to your device. Nokia Maps then recognizes your licence based on your device's IMEI code.
