Once you’ve found and tagged your favorite places you can share them with your favorite people. Whether you are meeting up or recommending a restaurant, when you’ve found the desired place on the map you can send it quickly and easily, via MMS, SMS, email, Bluetooth or infrared.

The information about the location is sent as a geocode and text (except in SMS, where it is sent as text only).

The Send location command is in different context-sensitive menus throughout Nokia Maps. The following procedure is just an example.

To share a location:

1. Browse the map.
2. To open the context-sensitive menu, press the scroll key.
3. Select Send location.
4. Select the sending method (for example, as MMS, or SMS)
5. Compose your message as usual.

Once your message is received, your friends can instantly save and view the location on their own Nokia Maps.

You can also take a screenshot of the map and send it by MMS or email.
