If you see the word "Locked" on the display of your Nokia phone, you may have activated the key guard feature. Press the button below "Unlock" then press the * (Asterisk) key, to unlock the key guard on your phone. The phone will display "Phone unlocked".

Some Nokia phones also have the phone lock feature available. If the phone lock was activated on your Nokia phone, your phone would prompt you to enter your PIN Code. The default PIN Code is 1234. The PUK code is an 8-digit code from your Service Provider used to change a disabled Personal Identification Number (PIN) code. The PUK code will be requested when an incorrect PIN is entered multiple times. Please contact your Service Provider for this PUK code.

If you have already contacted your Service Provider and the PUK code provided did not work, it will be necessary to obtain a new Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Card from your Service Provider. The PUK code is used to protect your phone from unauthorized access and if multiple attempts at entering the PUK code occur, the SIM card will become inactive for your protection.

If you have forgotten your security code, or the security code is not working on your Nokia phone, please try the following:

The factory default security code is 12345. The default PIN Code is 1234. If you entered a wrong code three or more consecutive times, the phone may switch to a "sleep mode" and not accept any entries for the next 15 minutes. Please power the phone off, then back on, and let it sit idle or untouched for 15 minutes, then try again. If your security code still does not work, contact your Service Provider or submit your phone so it may be inspected for repair. Repair instructions and locations.
